About The Author
Will Winkle had a typical Idaho upbringing; his father was a Mormon missionary and his mother was a potato. Will graduated from the University of Idaho with two degrees in economics, so naturally he decided to become a fiction author.
He wrote his first novel, DORK, during his last year of college after most of his social circle had graduated and moved on. Figuring that he would likely end up just talking to himself anyway, Will decided to write it down and try to make some money from it. Just under a year after finishing the first draft, DORK was published by Abuzz Press in January 2020.
Currently, Will is working on his second novel and writing short stories, some of which have been published in literary journals.
In literature, Will is a fan of David Sedaris and Larry McMurtry, and some of his favorite novels are One-Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Someone Who Will Love You in All Your Damaged Glory by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and Antkind by Charlie Kaufman.
